'We Were Soldiers' Not only did Sam and Pete head up for a 'there and back' on Friday, our Vice Chair, Phil, headed up to Llanberis and managed to get one of the last of the parking spaces available to get a training day in for his forthcoming Scotland trip, so he was loaded up with ropes and a rack. Once he'd conquered the above, he headed off the ridge to Llyn Idwal. Another fab day out.

Late Friday afternoon, Pete and I checked the hut was available and took off to Tremadog to see if we could get out playing in the snow. We were not let down, deciding to do the Snowdon Horseshoe we were rewarded with astonishing weather, views and snow.

North Wales gave us some fantastic winter conditions for this meet. Lots of snow up top and rather chilly in the gusts. Friday saw some of the earlier arrivals exploring Cnicht. I had a little swim in Llyn Dinas (whist Rob supported on the side looking thoroughly miserable in the horizontal sleet that arrived). We ended the day with fish and chips. Saturday saw us having an epic adventure with a long circular walk / scramble up Moel Siabod. Lots of snow covered bogs, unfortunately not all...
